Job Title: Barge Unloader / Heavy Equipment Operator
Location: Delhi, Oh
Pay: $20/hr
We are currently seeking a reliable and mechanically inclined Barge Unloader / Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team just south of Delhi, Oh. Our company receives raw materials by barge, stores them in silos, and sells/dispenses materials used in various types of production.
Schedule
- Monday–Friday
- 1st Shift (staggered start times between 6:00 AM and 10:00 AM depending on current assignment)
Key Responsibilities
- Unload material from barges using heavy equipment
- Load trucks using PLC-operated loadout systems
- Move barges using winches
- Operate skid steer and other heavy equipment (backhoe experience a plus)
- Monitor material handling processes and maintain accuracy
- Perform basic troubleshooting and demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude
Qualifications
- Previous barge unloading or river work experience preferred
- Experience operating heavy equipment (skid steer, backhoe) strongly preferred
- Mechanical aptitude and strong attention to detail required
- Basic computer skills and comfort working with PLC systems beneficial
- Ability to work in an outdoor industrial environment
