Job Description

Candidate will develop new automotive dealership client relationships through outside sales calling activities in assigned market area. They will uncover and negotiate commercial loan business opportunities for new franchised automotive dealership prospects. Working through assigned credit partners, candidate would follow credit policy, structures, underwriting guidelines and make recommendations to originate dealer commercial loans with an emphasis on floorplan commitments. Candidate will service originated and existing portfolio through required dealer monitoring and financial reviews while continuously prospecting for new customers. They will pro-actively evaluate and mitigate associated business risks and opportunities per established Huntington policies, procedures, and Guiding Principles. They will own the primary responsibility for the credit and monitoring of their Auto Finance portfolio risks. They must have demonstrated, extensive formal credit training and experience in Commercial Auto Finance. They will assist Product Specialists in selling and servicing various bank products. They need to be comfortable with very large credit exposure transactions and the most complex loans including syndications. This position will be based in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area and will require travel throughout the Upper Midwest.

Basic Qualifications:

Experience working with and lending to multiple automotive dealer groups Minimum 5 years Commercial (Auto) Finance Underwriting and Sales Experience Bachelor's Degree Formal credit training or extensive credit experience Preferred Qualifications:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong sales and negotiation skills Commercial Financial Analysis Comprehension and Review Local Automotive Dealer knowledge and existing relationships
