Are you an experienced equipment operator looking for a rewarding career in asphalt paving and road construction? We're seeking a skilled Paving Roller Operator to join our dynamic team and help deliver high-quality asphalt surfaces for our community.

What You'll Do as Our Equipment Operator

Primary Responsibilities:

• Operate steel drum and pneumatic-tire rollers to compact asphalt to specified densities and finishes
• Inspect and maintain roller equipment daily to ensure safe, efficient operation
• Collaborate closely with paving crew members to achieve smooth and consistent mat finishes
• Monitor surface temperatures, compaction patterns, and quality control factors
• Follow all job site safety protocols and company safety policies
• Assist with general labor tasks and site preparation when not operating equipment

What We're Looking For

Required Skills & Experience:

• Asphalt Knowledge: Understanding of asphalt paving processes and quality standards
• Equipment Operation: Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment, preferably paving rollers
• Mechanical Aptitude: Ability to perform basic equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
• Attention to Detail: Focus on precision and quality in compaction work
• Safety Awareness: Strong commitment to workplace safety and OSHA compliance

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and crouch for extended periods during outdoor work
• Comfortable sitting for long periods while operating heavy machinery
• Capability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 40 lbs regularly
• Comfortable working in outdoor environments in various weather conditions
